What is a Licensed Customs Broker?
A customs broker is responsible for advising consumers about import and export of goods into the country. These agents can be used by customers seeking to ship their goods overseas commercially or those looking to receive international delivery of goods.
There are several important functions of a customs broker, Australia based consumers should be aware of. These include providing businesses with information about successfully exporting goods out of the country, helping to complete necessary paperwork and advising customers on the latest fees and tariffs to be paid when conducting international trade. However, for many consumers, the most important function of a licensed customs broker is assisting in the process of successfully importing goods by making sure the shipment is able to clear customs. Without the specialist knowledge of Aust Post Brokers, it would be difficult for businesses and individuals to trade internationally.
